An August 2004 Morgan Stanley report (www.morganstanley.com) shows that there are 800 million + Internet users world wide who access the Internet for 30-45 minutes per-day. There is also an expected of 10-15% annual growth over the next several years. Additionally, due to the increase in adoption of residential broadband the usage is expected to grow by 20-30%.
The numbers are compelling when you look at them. The Internet is still as of 2005 a rapidly growing communication medium that cannot be ignored. Projections show that the Internet will continue to increase as a primary source of information while other forms such as print, radio and TV decline.
